When he says "just kids pretending to be astronauts, police officers, and firemen" He means little kids want to grow up to be firemen, police officers, and astronaut's, but usually those dreams never happen. Maybe his dream was to grow up to be in a band, and it happened, but it's much harder than he thought, so the joke is on him. | |

This song to is about a kid questioning religion. Also I've hear Tom grew up in a catholic home. Its called walking is still honest because instead of getting on your knees and praying for a better life after death he's making a honest living now. Oh and by the way Tom Gabel is a much more talented song writer than John Lennon or Paul McCartney. Against ME! Might might not have a bigger impact than the beatles, because they started a peace movement in America, but they are a more talented band. And have you seen their live shows, nobody does it like Against ME! |

| Against me is now totally mainstream, which could be a good or bad thing. Alot of people hate them for selling out since they are an amazing band. | This song is definitely about the unsatisfying feeling of doing drugs and partying day after day. I love the last line "No i'm not ready to die just yet" It says Tom is going to push himself as far as he can, which is why they are the best band. Also in the beginning of y'all don't want to step to dis! he has similar regrets like this song. | |
