The song is talking about redemtion and it is an ongoing process; we continually fall and God is always there willing to pick us back up again. It's talking about how she has such a fire for God that it is consuming her completely. |

I believe it is talking about the Church when it was just beginning. In Acts. She is comparing the attitude of the church then to how we have become now in society. Especially when she mentions the book and how "we were braver, still, when we were young" and also the speaking in tongues. |
