I remember blasting the start of this song and Lord Gold Throneroom in a school parking lot at lunch time, and restarting the songs whenever they got to music. Bahahhahahaha. Anyway, the drums on this do kick in really nice, and it's about a woman that just wants to be wanted. Pretty self-explanatory. |

This has always been my "Most Played" HtB song. It is so much amazing orgasmic fantastic...I can't put it in words, it's just the best damn song..the songs it mentions are, "Sand, The Mechanical Hand, Taken By Vultures", and perhaps,"Manateen"(creatures begging to be killed?). Anyway, I don't really see a meaning to this song, just summing everything up with kick ass everything. |

Their drums are to help set the sound and cooperate with their keyboardist, not stand out immensely like a band such as Through the Eyes of the Dead or As I Lay Dying. The keyboard through out this song is nice, but nothing as awesome as Birdo, Manateen, Lord Gold Throneroom, or The Black Hole. I still remember what MeaningLezz says about the guitar part every time I hear it, and I read his comment almost a year ago =). Your kids are destined to be awesome if they like HORSE! |

Afterwords he picks up the phone to order some mustard but there is no response. He then realizes he is going to hell for not having mustard on his person at all times for it is a sin not to. He becomes immensely terrified and all he can think about is the ketchup. "The room is black. My mind is RED". "And I'm shaking, thinking, begging for that precious nite-lite". He is begging to see that bright yellow mustard bottle. I've never read the comics, but I personally believe this is about someone who is experiencing different people's lives through their own senses. Then the person returns to their body only momentarily, and dragged into another person's life. This person is tormented by the constant "dreams". This could just be what "The Sentry" goes through though, but that's my two cents. |

OK. I FINALLY made my username and here begins my posts on all the HtB songs starting with "Birdo"..
I believe this song has a two meanings as TheImpalerTMX commented. Nathan could just be bsing people about the song's story though, and could just simply be about birdo. Anyways this song will forever kick ass with it's awesome keyboard(as with most HtB songs) and should never grow old. I've listened to it for two years now and it still rocks. |
