this song is so... lovely. The beginning i think is just him realizing he's got a problem and is unhappy, maybe because of a broken heart or just addiction that is taking over. The Ending almost seems like a different song, it's alot softer with just him and the piano. It is really sad, but beautiful. |

StephRox, i couldn't agree with you more. I think this song represents how people can change (friends) just to fit into a certain group of people and do things that you would have never imagined them to do, like stab you in the back or leave you in a bar at the bottom of the world. Maybe to be accepted by others, or trying to be cool? haha i dunno |

This is the cutest song, and i think he did write it for his nephew from "No Lies, Just Love" I looked around to see if there was a definition for the term "true blue" and i found one. "Loyal, faithful, as in You can count on their support; they're true blue. This expression alludes to the idea of blue being the color of constancy, but the exact allusion is disputed. One theory holds it alludes to the unchanging blue sky, another to the fastness of a blue dye that will not run." So, that could be one idea of it i suppose. Other people have had very good ideas too and i don't think that a song should really just have one meaning. Connor didn't have to have a meaning in mind he might have just written it as a cute story for a child. |
