| Nightwish – For the Heart I Once Had Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This beautiful day has reminded me on feelings which I felt for all my life but secretly. It seemed like The Heaven has gone to my heart...and I think that the same thing I felt long ago when my heart was pure and innocent, heart of a child. One final sigh for the times which I have forgotten but loved. Once my heart beat to the rhythm of falling snow, rhythm of childish life. Now the river blackened below flows trough the mountain virgin snow. It is not anymore sparkling... It is a contrast to idyllic snow of childish dreams and innocence. For the heart I'll nevermore have, For the child in me, forever gone, Music which I play goes, like river through mountain virgin snow flows but it longs for the childish heart I once had. Today, I carry all the weight of life. My heart is faded and old. The heart of the child is torn and forlorn, weak but still hoping that child will never die within me. Hoping that the same old nights of dreaming awake near window will come again, everything what have I dreamed about and what I could ever be, I will one day fulfill. Time will never heal the wounds which world has ridged on me. The scars are too deep... Time will only kill all the beauty which childish heart cares. For the heart I'll nevermore have, For the child in me, forever gone, Music which I play goes, like river through mountain virgin snow flows because it longs for the childish heart I once had... |

| kashteljs and Atagamay41 found the deeper meaning of this song. The song is about the world of imagination, the world which gives music to our lives constantly saturated with our daily duties. We must never forget our childish dreams. Without our fantasies in ourselves, we are empty husks of present. And, of course, love. | |

Guys, you wrote allot about who is better and most of you missed the meaning of our quest - song meaning. Leave the criticism to reviewers, people who are almost never satisfied. What do you gain by criticizing? Your own satisfaction only. It's a little bit selfish. By my opinion, guys from the band made right choice. They know the best what to do and who to chose. Listen to Dark Passion Play if you enjoy album or let the music fulfill someone who really enjoys that masterpiece. Leave your dark thoughts for yourself. I thank you all who found the real meaning of this song. Let us think about little Eva's secret quest of finding the better place to live, love and hope by listening to this beautiful song. |
