| Mos Def – Modern Marvel Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The beginning with Mos Def just crooning is amazing. One of the most heartfelt things I've ever heard. I have no opinon for the rest of the song because I've only listened to it once but the intro is really just everything you feel when you know you've fucked up your relationship. Only in those times can you really see through another person's eyes. Fantastic song, everyone should listen to it. |

| Mos Def – Sex, Love & Money Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| everyone is now rocking with thr best. This song is so funky and laid back I might as well quit my job and roll a blunt | |
| Mos Def – Sun, Moon, Stars Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I can't believe this song has no comments. It's really Mos Def's true testament to how good of a musician he is. I just love Mos Def's style with these poetry/instrumentals which is a strange contradiction but hey that's Mos Def for you. |

| Devendra Banhart – Canela Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Great song. It's exactly the song that plays in your head when you are first about to kiss the person you might love one day. A bit corny yes but c'mon it's music. | |
| Ween – The Stallion Pt. 2 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| this is one of the funniest Ween songs ever. | |
| Daniel Johnston – True Love Will Find You In The End Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| so many people have already used the word "beautiful" to describe this song and I will ALSO use it. This song is honestly one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. It's just so raw, and powerful. Anybody that has been in love or anyone that is in love can relate to this song. In Johnston We Trust. | |
| Animal Collective – Throwin' the Round Ball Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| if you don't know what this song means then you have never listened to it. | |
| Flight of the Conchords – The Prince of Parties Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"You're a picture of the devil's daughter I'm a pitcher of holy water" That's such a typical like 70's trip song, it's amazing. |
|
| Animal Collective – In the Flowers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Alright this song is one of the most beautiful love songs ever created. When I hear this song I get so happy I feel like crying and laughing is the only way to show it off. I never want to stop hearing this song it gives me the same feeling I get when I first heard Real Love by John Lennon. I just know that love is real even though my own experiences have told me other wise. This song makes living so fucking easy because every day that you listen to this song means everyday you know that love might just be around the corner. If someone was to ban music I would hear this song even if it meant my death. I needed to just express how much I love this song, thanks for reading. |

| Daniel Johnston – To Go Home Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| my favorite Daniel Johnston song for sure | |
| James Taylor – Music Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I can't believe I'm the first person to comment on this song. True it's a pretty simple song but it's also simply amazing. It's a song that gives you the feeling of hearing your favorite song, which is amazing. I guess James Taylor is the only artist capable of promoting that feeling because he's just brilliant. |

| Steel Pulse – Your House Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I have to agree with convince. This is one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. The message and words are just straight forward and I think anyone that is in love or has been in love before, in my case the latter will apperciate this song. |

| Sublime – What I Got Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
whoa man back down a bit. True What I Got is like their hit and most people that like the song don't know anything about Sublime, but you can't say that if you are a Sublime fan then this can't be your favorite song. If you say that then you are trying to keep people from liking what they like and that shit is fucking stupid. Maybe a Sublime fan likes it as their favorite because of reasons you could never understand. Maybe said person lost their virginity to this song or they first got stoned to this song. I can't pick a favorite Sublime song because it's all about my mood really but I really REALLY like the song Badfish which is on their greatest hits so does that make me any less of a fan? No it doesn't because when you listen to a band like Sublime you shouldn't be thinking about what the media turned Sublime into you should be thinking about just that style that soul, you know? Sublime wanted people to be inspired and just love one another and if you're rippin' on someone because they like What I Got which is a great song and has every right to be someones favorite then I don't think you're the real Sublime fan. |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Californication Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I'm just putting this together with what someone else posted but if David Bowie had something called 'Station to Station' maybe it has something to do with the Kurt Cobain line because Nirvana did do a cover of The Man Who Sold the World and...I don't really know where I'm going with this but there seems to be alot of references in this song. "And earthquakes are to a girl’s guitar they are just another good vibration" that could be a Beach Boy nod. I think the real thing is that when they were writing this they wanted to mention alot of things every knew so it would hit people on a deeper level and so you would actually see that Californication is like in everyones mind and it affecting everyone. |

| The Beatles – Anna (Go to Him) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Great song, pretty much what I go through. Being in love with a girl and being a gentlemen at the same time is not easy in todays world. :) | |
| Bon Iver – Skinny Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| If songs like this didn't exist then being in love would be impossible. So beautiful | |
| Corinne Bailey Rae – Like a Star Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| For me right now, this song is everything. I'm in love with a girl that loves me back. We dated for three years and then broke up for eight months and now we want to be together again, but she has her doubts. But with a song this beautiful about what real honest to God love is, I hope nothing goes wrong between us. I love this song so much and right now it's making this shit a bit easier, even though it's terribly sad. | |
| Radiohead – Subterranean Homesick Alien Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| One of my top ten favorite Radiohead songs. It means so much yet so little at the same time. No really me saying anything about the actual lyrics but I just had to comment something | |

| Modest Mouse – Blame It on the Tetons Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
He is for sure talking about the Native American tribe in this song. You know playing others? Scapegoating, all pretty obvious I thought. Best part is for sure Blame it on the weekends God, I need a cola now Oh, we mumble loudly Wear our shame so proudly Wore our blank expressions Trying to look interesting Blame it all on me because God, I need a cold one now I know that Bright Eyes is good at writing lyrics and I love the guy but I think with this song under his belt Isaac Brock should be looked at just as much. |
|
| Modest Mouse – Dukes Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| for sure it's knock out. Really Rightback? That's the first time you heard someone say that Iron Maiden wrote crappy music? I guess maybe I've just heard myself say it alot. I guess Number of the Beast was decent though, good lyrics at least. | |
| Modest Mouse – Red Hand Case Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love the way this song sounds is voice is at a true Isaac greatness in it. Also is it just me or is this song about a mouse being caught in the game Mouse Trap. I could be wrong but it makes alot of sense in my head, think about it. |

| Bright Eyes – Clairaudients (Kill or Be Killed) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I have to say that this song is SO amazing. I can't believe no one has commented on the fact that (or maybe it's just me) this song sounds like dream like, something that you would've heard back when you were a kid. It's strange but this song reminds me of Disney Land and just being a kid; then growing up and finding out that the world isn't Disney Land, it's this thing that we live on, it's Cassadaga. It's funny though because this song is so much for me growing up into an adult but I think I would have not liked this song when I was younger. Every lyric in this song is beautifully crafted, amazing. "Get your revolution at a lower price", beautiful. | |
| Modest Mouse – Little Motel Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I really think that this song is about a real relationship with the stupid little fights that everyone has and how at the time you know it's stupid and you know that you want them to end but at the same time you just fight. I really hear the "that's what we're waiting for" part as being sarcastic. Maybe it's even about a love that Mr. Brock wants to end but the girl doesn't; the reason that I say this is "I see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and I'm very sorry". But I don't have much to discuss about this song I just wanted to say that for a long time I didn't like this song because I thought it didn't go well with the flow of the album but now I really like it. I think it might be one of the most straight-foward heartfelt song that Modest Mouse has ever done. Love it, it's beautiful. | |
| The Beatles – I Am the Walrus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| "Don’t you think the joker laughs at you?"...That line is so great, very deep; I don't care what anyone says about LSD and writting this song and how it doesn't mean anything. It's deep, mainly that line...for me. | |
| Sigur Rós – Olsen Olsen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is BY FAR my favorite Sigur Ros song. I don't say this about media often with all complete honesty but this song is beautiful. I really wish I knew what Sigur Ros was going for with this song, it makes me calm and sad, yet it makes me so fucking happy just to listen to it. I have to agree with ms. mary ann, something about the bass and the voice just soar you over everything. Oh my god, I literally just realized how this song makes me feel exactly, it's always been so confusing to me but I have finally got it. This song makes me feel like I'm flying not in the super hero way or on a airplane I'm just flying; under me I see everything the bad and the good and I just look at all of it and I take it all in. Then I come back down and I can't do anything about it and I know that I will never see it like that again and I get sad, yet hopeful because I know that everything is content and the people around me when I get back are in bliss. God, this song is so much. How? | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – 1979 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I really think that this song is about just being who you were when you were a teen and not knowing what would happen. When I hear this song I remember those times in my life where I just wanted to sit down and look up at the sky and soak in everything that was way too heavy for me, maybe shed a few tears. I don't know why but this song is so amazing to me, it's not the lyrics, but it's for sure just not the way it's sung. I think the best way to support the fact that this song is just about being a teenager is for some reason the line "faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope justine never knew the rules, hung down with the freaks and the ghouls no apologies ever need be made". Another great thing about this song is that it's not about the outcast kid or the jock or the prep, it's just about being a kid. I love it, no matter how many times I hear it. It gets to me. |
