i thought it was about the narrator talking about going to the Megaplex to buy some whiskey, but that they were still underaged so they couldn't get it... "telephone spies in every corner" and "a policeman is trying to warn ya" then again, i may just be reading this song to literally... but if it is, there's something poetic about the line "As soon as I'm legal, this love affair is over," cuz it reminds me how underaged kids love getting plastered, but when people are actually old enough to buy the stuff legally, getting drunk sorta loses its novelty--the thing that made it so fun and exciting |

gee blownspeakers, thanks, that really explains what this song is about =) ... i don't think the song is about an ex-regular passenger... instead, it might be about person that he's lived with before if you watch the music video, it ends up w/ the guy at the back of the bus (now transformed into a living room where he's sitting with another woman)... i'm thinking the song's about that woman, also, regarding where the woman says she told him he had to go, the line that follows, "I wonder if the landlord has fixed the crack, That I stared at, instead of staring back at you", suggests that he's been at the place with her before... perhaps they lived together? |

the second chorus is wrong *instead of: no one should have to live all of their life on their own it should be: no one should have to live all of their life on the run that way, the last line of the second chorus would make sense: "...and i think it's time that we all learned forgiveness" |
