Mangums whole album "In an aeroplane over the see" is based on Anne Frank and other Jewish families of the time. Mangum claims he had a dream about a Jewish family in WWII and therefore he created a whole album about them. I mean if anyone else wants to know more just do a google search instead of guessing. Anyways, Holland 1945 is one of my favorite songs to date. Also has anyone realized how much Neutral Milk Hotel sounds like the Decemberists? |
