This song has been around for a while now, but by chance my MP3 player randomly selected it and just struck a chord. Every few weeks another piece of legislation is passed that restricts the rights of ordinary citizens or gives authorities the rights to monitor the actions of everyday people. Perhaps this song can be considered to be a sort of anthem for those who have had enough and want to take control of their lives back. |

There are not may songs I can think of about Reindeer. It's another sombre and dark song, also mentioning "The North" which features in other lyrics by The Knife. Now, I'd be impressed if Carol singers turned up on my doorstep with this one :) |

I agree with Mantron, this is about feeling a connection with people or events you see in the news.. but maybe taking it too far and becoming obsessive. Think about people's reactions ten years ago when Princess Diana died, or think perhaps of the movie "Fight Club". There's something very unsettling about the emotions here. |

This is a really peculiar song.. it sounds quite mellow with an upbeat chorus, but really he's just murdered his girlfriend and is hiding the body in a wall. Curiously macabre. |
