i have liked this song for a long time but not until i came to this site did i realize that it was actually about Columbine..i mean i had never actually thought about that even though i knew the story about Cassie. it honestly gave me chillbumps when i understood it...because i have always wondered what the song was about but it was just like everything clicked! Another thing, i agree that the point of the song is to stand up for what you believe... but more importantly standing up for God. Im a Christian and knowing Flyleaf's belief in God I believe the main inspiration for this song is God, himself! Overall this is an amazing song and Flyleaf is an awesome band...it doesnt matter who the actual girls is, as long as the meaning of the lyrics are understood. |
