How can lyrics that are so patchy even be permittted to be put up? What happened to standards of quality? Christ. But anywho, much thanks to WhereIsJF? for posting the complete song. I definitly interpret this songs meaning as being of the experience of bulimia. I played it for my friend who suffers from the disorder, and he started to cry halfway through. He said it really felt like it hit home, especially the verse- "But you will look Staring at your face reflected in the fetid water What shadows will it cast today Familiar smells of fresh decay You wish that you could flush yourself away" |

Ok, for the question marks, Its just an illusion in it's passionate way AND But I know your methods inside out. This song is about a girl who has been hurt before, by a boy who keeps sending mixed messages to her. She realizes what is happening,and notices that he is also doing it to other people. The song is a triumph over the infatuation he brought about in her. |

I always get the feelign that the 'they' she is talking about is the same 'they' in "you know what they say..." It fits into the song perfectly, especially "How can they possibly know all this?" It stresses the reliance in our culture on what society on a whole is saying and doing. At the same it is questioning the wisdom of this "Don't care to think them through." This song is wonderfully sung and put together, and a great criticism of the herd mentality prevalent in society. |

This sounds like a little boy, with something curiously morbid in his head. He asks his father questions that wouldn't normally occur to a small child, and is surrounded by nannies. Eventually the voices in his head that are telling him to say and do these thinks suggest he jumps off a building. He does so, and enjoys every moment of it, oblivious to the fact the landing won't be a pleasant one. |
