| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song was born part way through a random jam with the band. Anthony said: And then i heard flea playing this really funky bass tune that went up and down the entire fretboard. next thing I knew i jumped up and just started singin 'give it away, give it away, give it away now'. Also "There's a river born to be a giver Keep you warm won't let you shiver His heart is never gonna wither" was about his friend called River McKenzie [not 2 sure bout his last name tho] all in all an awesome tune. he describes how he wrote it in his book scar tissue... check it out folks |

again another fantastic song from the mind of anthony keidis. i think its about drugs, [as alot of his songs are] and after i read his biography i managed to get a good understanding of his past. and at the time of one hot minute being made he was in over his head with his drug habit. i believe it was shortly after this album was made [dont quote me on it] that he was kicked out of the band for a short period of time because he was unreliable and would go on drug binges for several days and would not turn up to practice. and this is a song about his drug habit destroying his friendships and how it was bringing him down. |

| Limp Bizkit – Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

riiight. everyone just seems to be bad mouthing limp bizkit. the lyrics may not be profoud or have any real meaning. that doesnt matter does it. this is just a song thats more about the music than the lyrics. and its catchy, everyone knows it, and its great to just go crazy to. i like it anyways and i want my band to play it cause its good. if you want profoud lyrics to listen to go listen to sum chili peppers [im not saying that as a bad thing, i lyk the chili peppers] anyways im sure this song does have a meaning it just may not be aparant to you. songs are a personal thing adna toll for the songwriter to express emotions and opinions and ideas. you obviously jstu dnt share the same ideals as the writer of this song. |

| AC/DC – Highway To Hell Lyrics | 18 years ago |

weezerspider. id jsut like to say that bon scott didnt sing back in black. that album was made after his death, it was sung by brian johnson, cause bon said if anything ever happened to him brian was to take over lead singer. and on the subject of highway to hell although Angus Young described touring america using a similar phrase, there's a more literall explanation: Highway to Hell was the nickname for the Canning Highway in Australia. It runs from where lead singer Bon Scott lived in Fremantle and ends at a pub/bar called The Raffles, which was a big Rock 'n Roll drinking hole in the '70s. As Canning Highway gets close to the pub, it dips down into a steep decline: "No stop signs.... speed limits... nobody gonna slow me down." So many people where killed by driving fast over that intersection at the top of the hill on the way for a good night out, that it was called the highway to hell, so when Bon was saying "I'm on the highway to hell" it meant that he was doing the nightly or weekly pilgrimage down Canning Highway to The Raffles bar to rock and drink with his mates: "Ain't nothing I would rather do. Going down, party time, my friends are gonna be there too. |

ok. i would just like to ask why every1 is gettin all riled up because you dissagree on the meaning of the song or who is listening to the music. there'snothing wrong with being a skater at least they're not just one of those people that started being a skater for a year or so back in 2001 when it was the in thing. i'm sure bon would be turning in his grave to hear everyone gettin at eachothers throat cause of his music, he meant it to bring everyone together, to have a good time to express himself. so just lighten up a bit and just rock out to the song like it was intended for. |
