| Hinder – Whatcha Gonna Do Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I don't like Hinder, but I love this song. I think it means pretty much "where are you gonna go from here? You can't run from everything forever." Pretty much you're down on your luck, been drinking a lot to get your troubles away, but you can't run from them forever (I'm living life with no regrets, they're on their way but ain't here yet". One day you won't be able to hide from your problems through drinking (Whiskey ain't working no more), and you'll have to solve your problems on your own because everybody's gotten tired of your shit (Your ride ain't coming no more, nobody's beatin' down your door). Just my two cents, take it as you may, but that's the feeling this song invokes from me. |

| Machine Head – Darkness Within Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I bought the CD the day it came out in America, notice the first comment is four days before it was released here? That's because I couldn't fucking wait for it, and listened to it on youtube since I TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK to go buy the CD and listen to it all day. Be a bitch if you want, but do it somewhere the fuck else. | |
| Machine Head – Darkness Within Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Those were two lines I wasn't quite sure of, but i was pretty sure someone would correct me. Thanks man, i'll edit it now. It's a f*ckin' awesome song. | |
| Drowning Pool – Children Of The Gun Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
My girlfriend thought this song was about war, but i read a lot deeper than that when i thought about it. I think it's having a 'partner in crime,' a friend or loved one where you can just be whoever you are and whoever you want, regardless of everyone elses opinion. "I don't need anybody but me. I don't want anybody but you" - a lover or partner in crime "Come on get up get off your knees, we're bringing down the machine" - lets go raise some hell, fuck everyone else "Burning in the sun When we fight we die together We are the children of the gun" - i take that as how people tell you what to be, like they're putting you on a pedestal of expectations, too close to the sun. This is saying lets stand up and fight against it. "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger" - don't get pissed of at me, i didn't start all this shit, just getting word out! That's just how i took it, it probably IS about war lol. But music is expression, you can feel however you want when you hear something and that's the right answer to you. |

| Drowning Pool – Creeping Death (Metallica cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about the Jewish story of passover. | |
| Drowning Pool – Rebel Yell (Billy Idol cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm guessing (from what another user said on Billy Idol's lyrics to the song) that this song is about sex with a barely legal woman. I'm digging their cover of it, but first time I heard it was at my second Drowning Pool concert and I had told my friends that they were gonna play Cowboys From Hell, but they wound up playing this instead. | |
| Billy Idol – Rebel Yell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Drowning Pool has covered this song as well, and some other band I believe. | |
| Drowning Pool – Duet Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song means duet as in a fight. Saying that the person is insignificant and it doesn't matter that they judged him without giving him a chance. | |
| Drowning Pool – Love X2 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| About a girl he was crazy about but after seeing she isn't right for him he gets away and denies her holding him in. | |
| Drowning Pool – No More Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| About someone that kept pushing him and pushing him (push a little more . . ., I feel my tension rising) and kept promising lies. He finally opens up (this open heart will blind you) and gets rid of them (you cannot hurt me any more, stay away from me). | |
| Drowning Pool – 37 Stitches Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm not sure what significance the number 37 has in this song or if it was just a randomly picked number, but I think this song is about a relationship in which he thinks the girl is his own slice of heaven but he's just hell for her, and he knows she's one of a kind (only one on the darkest side of the sun). Maybe 37 is how many stitches it takes in a heart surgery, and it's a reference to having a broken heart, but I'm not sure. | |
| Drowning Pool – Upside Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
About someone that judged him but have him completely wrong. Possibly a woman who he took everything she said with a grain of salt. I can't quite interpret the "On a cross" part. Maybe someone judged him by his appearance and guessed him to be Satanic. |
|
| Drowning Pool – Paralyzed Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| About being hurt by someone and feeling 'desensitized' or paralyzed, not feeling any more. He wishes they could just take back what they said. | |
| Drowning Pool – Reason I'm Alive Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
As I mentioned this song was written by Motley Crue and Sixx: AM bassist Nikki Sixx. Originally Saliva's "Rest in Pieces" was written by Sixx for Drowning Pool, but Dave died. Since he helped with the record he gave them this song instead I would guess. Anyways, I think the meaning is about being with a woman and after getting married they aren't as close, his dream of being happy with her was just a lie. He's trying to be strong though, and wants to rise up and leave. I could be way off on a few parts though, I think this is one of those songs that are written specifically so the listener can use their own interpretation to it. |

| Drowning Pool – Reborn Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is a great song live, I think it's possibly about starting over after having several problems and drinking to get away from them. The song references old Drowning Pool and SOiL (Ryan's past band) songs: Tear Away, Redefine, Bringing Me Down (Or Breaking Me Down), This Life, Crucified, Love Hate Game, Remember, Numb, Mute, Unreal, and possibly Forget. | |
| Drowning Pool – Shame Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I believe it's about a relationship where he's afraid of hurting the woman with lies, but he promises to try again. He's afraid he will let her down and shame her. | |
| Drowning Pool – Enemy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| About a person that is hated by the author of the song (McCombs), most likely Tim King of his former band SOiL. He tried to just avoid the person but they would use his own words in different context against him (as King did when he insulted him for leaving the band to be with his family). Now he's admitting his hate and standing up for himself. | |
| Drowning Pool – Full Circle Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song is about how the band has come full circle and while being the same band are now a completely different band in itself. People think the band is over after all the things holding the band back in the music world and they believe it's time to rise up out of the ashes of the past to show that they're not a one hit wonder or just another band to be overlooked. | |
| Alice in Chains – Love, Hate, Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is a hard song to interpret, but after reading some of the other interpretations i think it may actually be about rape. On a side note SOiL's "Love Hate Game" is meant to reference this song title. So maybe the songs have similar meanings, or the writer of Love Hate Game (Ryan McCombs) interpreted it a certain way and wrote his song based on the same interpretation. |

| Drowning Pool – Soldiers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It's obvious the song is a tribute to our american troops. Your lyrics are wrong though: On your feet, who's with me? On your feet, who's with me? One world, made better Aim straight, heart center There is no compromise Your pain, your worth, your sacrifice On your feet, who's with me? On your feet, let's go Every time I see inside you, I see myself within you Let's go (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers All for one, let's go On your feet, who's with me? Gut tight, hold steady Bellicose, and ready There is no compromise Your pain, your worth, your sacrifice On your feet, who's with me? On your feet, let's go Every time I see inside you, I see myself within you Let's go (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers All for one, incoming Every time I see inside you, I see myself within you Don't let that fade away Your pride, inside of me Your honor, inside of me Respect, inside of, inside of me Go (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers My Soldiers, let's go (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers (Ooh, yeah) This is for the soldiers All for one, incoming Every time I see inside you, I see myself within you Don't let that fade away Every time I see inside you, I see myself within you Don't let that fade away |
