Goodness, this song is brilliant. And I was able to relate to it perfectly a long while back. Okay, let me give this a shot. "Rayando el sol, rayando por ti" means that he's scratching out the sun, and he's scratching it out for the girl he loves because its all he could do. and the pity he has hurts because he doesn't have her love. he's desperate because he hasn't heard from her, and he's cried for her so many nights [moons] it's easier for him to reach the sun that her heart, and it's killing him inside that he can't be with her, and he can't take it anymore, so he scratches the sun. it says that he went to her house, but he didn't find her there, he went to the park, the plaza, the movies, and he didn't find her. and her presence is trapped in his skin and soul. he can't take it anymore, and wants to be with her. but he knows it'll never happen... |

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe it says "i wasn't shopping for a doll" and it makes sense, because he then says, "to say the least i thought i'd seen them all" he doesn't want another pretty girl to dissapoint him, but this one, "she took him by surprise" |
