Paramore – Stuck on You (Failure cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is amazing, and Paramore did an amazing job of covering it. It's definetly about not wanting to like some one, but then always finding yourself thinking of them and such.

Jack's Mannequin – Meet Me At My Window Lyrics 18 years ago
I definetly can sense Something Corporate in this song. It's an excellent song for what it was written for (Sound of Superman). It really reminds me of Louis Lane's point of view of everything with Superman and that. It also can just be put bluntly into the whole "meet me at my window, I could use a hero right now" like waiting to be saved. Window can also be analogous to numerous things, which I find cool about this song.

I also forgot to mention the lines "this is morning, that's when I spend the most time thinking about what I've given up, this is a warning when you start the day just to close the curtains your thinking about what I've given up". That verse definetly has to do with his break up and giving her up for fame and his dream.

I read a biography on Andrew once, which explains this song. Before he became famous, he was dating this girl for about 3 years, before they had to break up because him touring was straining the relationship. If you listen to some of the songs from Something Corporate, they deal with the breaking from distance. That's what the song Konstantine is about, and also this song. It seems obvious he still loves this girl, "and you said you meant it, that theres a piece of me in every second of every single day, but if it's true then tell me how it got this way". If you look through out the song there are definetly hints that this song is about distance being the cause of a break up.

The Hush Sound – Wine Red Lyrics 18 years ago
Just because there are biblical references does not make it a biblical song. I'm almost positive this song isn't about Adam and Eve, but rather a romance analogous to that story. Some one even quoted her that she was reading about religions and such, which mostly influenced her analogies.

In the music video, it's the old guy remembering back to a former romance and how he's trying to relive the memories and the past, and how he can't go back after his mistakes and such.

In the first verse, it tells of lies, and how their relationship was torn apart by lies(represented by the arrow) and the crimson apple represents temptation. And, how instead of giving into that temptation there were lies made to avoid it and such.
The analogies to rise and falls, all have to do with the "rise and fall" of relationships. If you think about it, it has the sea, to the sea or red, the doves dying, the story of Adam and Eve being in a perfect place to ruining it by their mistakes and wanting to be back where they were in the garden.

The chorus represents the break of a relationship, and saying "Gloria, we lied we can't go on" is the analogy of having something pure, and innocent, such as a relationship fall to a demise. And how they both regret that.

The second verse is where the relationship, or whatever regret kicks in. Where you start to regret your mistakes and wishing things were different. But they can't go back, no matter how much they try and cover up their mistakes and lies. And the line "this is the time and this is the place to be alive" is where they either know it will end and make the most of it, or think back into their memories and that being the only thing that's left.

In conclusion, this song has very deep analogies that really anyone who has made a big mistake can relate to. As said before, this song is deeper than the story of Adam and Eve. Its the Hush Sound's way of writing a break up song.

PianoChick-

I think its cause she dated the guy that plays keyboard for evanescence. And plus it could be that the song names aren't very original. Not trying to bash them, but you could probably find a lot of songs titled similar titles.

Wow no one's commented on this song yet? It's definetly one of my favourites.

It's upbeat and witty. It's definetly a good song to listen to after a break up where the guy's gotten a girlfriend as a rebound type thing.

Kelly Clarkson – Irvine Lyrics 18 years ago
Theres actually a whole other part to this song on her cd. She said this was the most personal song she's ever written and she won't even tell her friends what it's really about.

It really sounds like a break up and a death and a struggle with her death, all in one night. I agree with the letter to God thing. But this is just my additions to the meanings that are already there.
