I think that this song is hopeful. She sounds as though she was protecting herself from what she'd seen happen all around her. She felt the emotions of love through the music she'd listened to and sang yet couldn't feel it. Finally she felt it and although the past... seeing what she had... and listening to the music of people's hearts breaking she didn't believe and protected herself. when it had finally happened and she'd found someone who broke her fall and she didn't have to depend on her music anymore she was ready to drop her guard and let the feelings come through. as many of us know sometimes even falling in love with the right person... that loves you back... breaks your heart. as happy as you are its still out of your mind that you would let your guard down for anyone especially when you don't think love will ever find you. |
