Oh gosh this song is amazing. I must agree with HomerunHenry, for me, nothing quite compares to this song. It's just something else. I think it's about a person with some kind of disorderor maybe just emotionally fragile or insecure, and they're hiding behind a mask 'sew it on/ face the fool' to face the world outside, but are still very fragile despite pretending they're just fine. Then they lose who they are from hiding behind the mask 'the mirrors lie those aren't my eyes'. And the "destroy them raise my hand/ reflected in savage shards a new face, soul reborn" bit is about starting new, destroying that person they used to be and the mask they hid behind, perhaps because they've become a stronger person. Could be totally wrong, but thats my 2 cents :] Amazing, amazing song. |

Yeah, 'mixed up memories', 'singing uh-oh on a Friday night', 'nostalgic pavement' and 'cups of tea' :] Most love this song. Too catchy. I think its her trying to say that shes down to earth and shes just an ordinary girl. Shes not one of those girls that think they're all that and parade around wearing hardly anything, "This is my body, covered in skin, and not all of it you can see". Nice one, lovely song :] |

Even though the lyrics to this song are pretty simple, it just sums up the whole unrequited love thing quite perfectly. It doesn't need complicated metaphors to get the point across. I think this song is just beautiful. I loved the live version i heard but the album version is just stunning. This song is just too easy to relate to. Can tell its gonna be my song for the next few weeks haha :] |
