Agree that the song is about losing your virginity. While the lyrics sound poetic and symbolic, they're actually rather frank; for example, in the first verse, imagine she's talking about the guys member. He had his hand in his jeans, ready to whip it out, waiting for her so he could put it in her. It sounds gross but it makes sense. I think this was intentional on Cheyenne's part -- the song seems like it could have a deeper meaning, but she's actually just talking about a guy whipping his penis out, sticking it in her and asking him to put it back in his pants. At least, that's one way of looking at it. |

I can't believe nobody's pointed out the blatant sexual meaning of this song. Most of Mandy's songs can be interpreted sexually. In this one, she wants to have sex with this guy because she feels he's the one, but everyone's telling her to wait 'till she's older and all that gibberish. She's not listening though, because she's young and she should be allowed to make mistakes, especially when "it feels right and it feels good". "I just want you tonight, not just only in my dreams" means to me she's tired of fantasizing about doing it, and wants to make love to this guy tonight. Great song. I'll be turning 17 soon, so I'll likely have this song on repeat because of the more generalized meaning of being able to make mistakes while you're young because you've "got time to grow up". |

Amazon kept recommending this .mp3 for me. I didn't know why, because the only two songs I bought from there were Britney Spears and Katy Perry. I had no interest in downloading that song. But then I saw him perform on The Tonight Show. It was love at first listen. I never watched AI during his season, but I saw him in pictures and always thought he was super-cute. After hearing this song, I'm 100% in love! I bought the .mp3 on amazon and will probably buy the CD. |
