There are things much more important in life and the trends just distract you from what's real. California is a great place to base this song, because california is on a faultline, and scientists have theorized that one day it will sink away from america because of the fault line. Stinkfist is about how being exposed to extremes can make you crave more extremes. It uses Anal fisting as a metaphor, because anal fisting is an extreme form of sex/pornography. | I think not of this CD as songs but as a musical story, starting with the first mistake, mr. self distruct, a drug issue, followed by piggy, a girl problem potentaly set off because of the drug issue, the depression from the girl causes an abscence of faith, hericy, then march of the pigs wich is about the metaphorical murder of ones self esteem through done by "Pigs" or women, closer is the girl the listener finds after he gives up searching and the drugs currupt his mind, ruiner, wich in my opinion happened after the listener falls in love with the girl from closer rips your heart out, the becoming is when the listener searches inside himself for the inner being that doesn't take anything from anyone, the inner machine wich ultimatley takes over because the world knows it's feels nice to be the hunter and not the pray, I do not want this is a shout for help from the inner "good guy" that's almost completley gone, big man with a gun is "the new you"'s experiance with women, instead of rejection, rape, eraser is a twisted love song directed towards the girl in, reptile, reptile is the girl the becoming wants, a sick demented person just like the new you, the downward spiral is a drug song, where the new you (and assumably reptile) have a great time and get high, then things get worse and worse, then murder, followed by hurt, the detox song | |

ok peeps, me and my friend were talking about this one too and came up with some bullcrap, it's realy about jack and his brother making a band, we twisted it's interperitation to say that Rich people (wonderboy) who have no concept of the muckey muck (poverty issues) because they live in a castle made of clouds (a mansion away from strife all together) and Young Nasty Man (Average to lowerclass people) can do everything that rich people can do, they just don't have the money to do so, the ability to shoot a yac from 200 yards away is bombing of other country's, because rich people aren't on the feild of battle, the rich ones get to stay in a comand center in america and say "Bomb Here" levitation is simple, Air travel wich is more expensive than train or bus then joining forces is when the world realizes that money means nothing (deffinatley yet to come in 2007) |

this one's alot more simple than holy moutnains and Nine Inch Nails lol it's about how Science atempts to disprove religion and science can't give someone somthing to stand for I personaly agree with this song, even though I'm not religous, every religion tells you the same thing in my opinion, or at least the same priority the 10 comandments science speaks not of right from wrong so it has indeed failed our world |

I know it's farfetched but a smart friend of mine sugusted that it's about jesus's second coming. because jesus died on a mountian deeming it holy, and the lack of modern christians, who would shout LIAR, at the followers of jesus and KILLER retorted from them, DEMON being a mutual feeling, that the other group consists of demon(s). they have returned resting on the mountainside would be the killers of jesus. "we have learned that yo have no: HONOR MURDERER SADOMISER for killing the savior to explain "someone's blank stare..." the blank stare is one of awe, for noone would expect to see jesus and deemed it warfare would be because by seeing jesus you would seperate the world, the belivers and the nonbelivers. the intro has no words only tone, as does a chior, chiors are found in churches. "someone's mouth said paint them all red" is the head of the nonbelivers who comanded the nonbelivers to kill the belivers. freedom is clearly saying that by jesus's rising the world will be free from all tyrany, and united under the word of god |

not the simpolest song, but not the most dificult either, It is a symbolic referance to convincing yourself you need to die the ocean is how you die and when he gets to "oceans pull me close" you are in the water, and you've made your final choice, you chose death. the currents have a say is a reference to it's almost too late, it rushes me away is when the water pulls you out to sea and you drownd. I can still feel you, wich is directed to the loved one who was the straw that broke the camels back and caused the suicidal impulse, means that no matter how where I am, in life or in death, I'll never forget you. clearly a response having your heart torn out |

| I can see a night scene with people fleeing from a group of faceless marchers. the marchers cannot be seen clearly through the fog but the rimnance of blood can still be identified on the walls of homes and tinting the fog in areas. a figure marches in front of the army and signals for the soldiers to atack, the soldiers atack and masacur the entire fleeing group leaving few to no survivors. at the part where you can hear trent going ah, you see the same figure on a throne surrounded by pool of blood and his army of murdurers in the background. He stands and walks forward through the blood wich gets deeper gradualy with each step. his army follows him deeper and deeper into the blood but they sink at a far faster rate than their leader. eventualy the leader turns his head all the way around and pulls a sharp bone out of the water and slashes it through his head. the glory tune fades away as the head floats on and the army rises again. | |
