| First off i'd like to thank you for posting about that song Black by Pearl Jam. I have never heard it before and I went to listen to it and I FUCKIN LOVE IT!I remember hearing it along time ago when i was little (im 15 now) and I remember it creeping me out a little bit. Im pretty sure it was this song at least. I really remember the end outro after hes done with all the lyrics, it just haunts me. I find that it's a bit more depressing than under the bridge though, but it definitely reminded me of under the bridge. Thanks again, I really like that song. | |

I think this song is about homosexuality and the struggles of homosexuality and coming out of the closest and stuff. In the fields where nothing grew but weeds, I found a flower at my feet, bending there in my direction - (He was in a field and a gay man came to him with his "flower" and was bending over at him.) I wrapped a hand around it's stem, I pulled until the roots gave in, finding now what i've been missing - (He put his hand around the guys penis and engaged in sexual intercourse and he finds out what he's been missing which is homosexuality.) But I know....So I tell myself, I tell myself it's wrong (He tells himself homosexuality is wrong) Theres a point we pass from which we can't return, I felt the cold rain of the coming storm (Theres a point you pass when your gay that once your gay and you've engaged in homosexual activity there is really no going back. The cold rain of the coming storm is prolly talking about the intercourse, the guy prolly pissing on him or something) All because of you, I haven't slep in so long when I do i dream of drowning in the ocean, longing for the shore where i can lay my head down (All because of the gay intercourse he is scarred and he can barely sleep and when he does he dreams of the horror in other words maybe drowning in an ocean. Him longing for the shore is him trying to escape from it all and just trying to relax without thinking about it and just being finally able to lay down. Then the part "So i can live i walk away now" He is totally ashamed of himself as he should be and he finally walks away from the intercourse so he can actully live with himself without being so ashamed. Not a day goes by that I don't feel it's burn. (Not a day goes by that he dosent feel the ache in his asshole from the intercourse.)
