ok, call me crazy, but i think that this song is about Dido, the queen of Carthage in Virgil's Aeneid. im probbly reading too much into it but: both dido and aeneas "came from the east" "to scrape away land". Aeneas came when all his ships needed repair "exhausted engine"(right after a tidal wave actually)...."blow into the chastity belt" dido broke her 'pudor' for aeneas, sorry if this is all completely incomprehensible.. |
