I know about all of the deeper meanings of this song. but i am going to tell you how i relate to it... Ok, i have this friend who happens to be a girl, and we like eachother and all that good mushy shit. but everytime she is hanging out with me and the band, whenever we try to go somewhere to be "Alone", my idiot drummer (that word doesnt even begin to describe him by the way) has to constantly follow us everywhere because he is jealous that she likes me and not him. so therefore, it racks on my fucking nerves to an extent where i am to the point of punching his ass out. the motherfucker needs to give us some time alone!!!!!! |

This song is one of Opeth's greatest. Has one of the biggest displays of emotion i have ever seen. The guitars complement eachother perfectly. Whenever the first heavy part comes in, the part when Mikael sings "devotion alludes..." my whole body just gets tingly. seriously one of themost beautifully sad guitar harmonies ever played. |
