David already said it was political. I question anyone calling people pop culture chumps just because they believe in real things like political issues. Everyone has an agenda and no one cares why you do something like listen to their music as long as they make money. If you feel violated because someone has a brain and a social conscience then you need to grow up and see maybe you are the sap. Music whether it is straight up about love or passion is always political. It can move MANY PEOPLE. Politics is all about the movement of life...whether you like it or not. Who can't have an independent thought? just because someone you don't agree with has someone else to agree with him/her? Someone is sounding like a hypocrite mr politics. I guess you think being independent means being a passive citizen. Fine. Good luck with that. lol. You are but a house of cards. All your words have been used before...in exactly the same stupid way. So get over yourself. |

Is anyone reading/hearing the same thing I am? All songs have a certain meaning to why they were written and then a million others to those who listen to them. He gave us these words and we do what we will with them. He shouldn't be bothered with what we do with them. WE SHOULD. This is his business...being a musician and artist. Now you can apply this to any facet of life. Depending on which side you lie you will throw in your own extras to supply YOUR OWN ARMS RACE. I hope he sees himself as his own leading man...and not anyone elses. It is very intricate to find the line between those who pay you money...do you own them or do they own you. I think he asserts that he owns himself and what you do with your life is you Goddamn arms race. Who cares if you are a poser? Do you? The scene is much more intricate than most people try to understand. Instead they quickly pick a side and end up in the gutter. No real intelligence behind why you picked your agenda. Now someone commented that FOB said this was about DaVinci. So this site is about what this song means to YOU. If anything it should be used as a reference to see how others think when speaking off the cuff, w/o assuming everything is intricate. Arm yourself how you see fit.
