ITS IRO-BOT STOP ARGUING AGAINST IT. I know a tonne of people posted this before me, but i was reading through and even when people were corrected, another dumbass comes in to say 'its i-robot'. This song sounds just as good in 2113, even though its just a short appearence in the song. |

liruichen, how about ur an absolute idiot who doesnt appreciate a good remake just because u think the band sucks because it means something in Chinese. seriously dude, cry more please. And what the hell do you mean 'they should be more careful when the remake a song' - they did a very good remake of this song. Just because they arent a very popular band means shit all - they succeeded in producing a good song. |

the treaty of versailles ended WWI dude, and was a prime reason for Hitler gaining power in germany to start WWII. You're right tho, they love playing round with WWII. Manchuria - is a Chinese country next to Japan, and was more or less the start of the Pacific War. June - someone made a great annotation of being under bombs being dropped. Ive looked around to find when there were large scale bombings during June, but really couldn’t find anything significant Tripoli – Apparently someone said this was a very bloody battle, where Italy was mostly involved. They commented that it was possibly the bloodiest battle of WWI…I think this guy forgot about the Battle of the Somme tho lol, that was just a tad more bloodier :p Seville – Someone made the connection with loss from WWII. The lyric ‘theyre coming to kill us’ gives this theory a little justification. Byzantine – A link was made as ‘we parachute to kill, for we fear the empire’ or something like that. Yet again WWII. I think I pulled out most of the songs which relate to the bands fedish with the world wars. The other themes I notice with Pinback besides WWII, are links to childhood, names of cities throughout Europe, and Drug experiences. |

I personally think Saosin's version of this is just as good, if not better than the original by Pinback, and that's seriously saying something. Pinback's version has the bands normal sort of feel to a song, but Saosin has taken this, slowed it, and in a way romanticised the lyrics, almost changing it to a more 'emo' sort of song, and yet its not.. |
