State Radio – Gunship Politico Lyrics 16 years ago
Initially, I felt this song is easily understood as viewing the "Gunship Politico" almost as a dictatorial leader; the President engages in wars for his own purposes. However, upon a closer look,
"Witnesses of goya. Elected to serve ya til your dying day," I believe Chad Urmston's idea of "Gunship Politico" is the United States of America. "Goya" refers to the artist Francisco Goya (1746-1828). Goya's emergence arose during the birth of the United States of America. "Gunship Politico" is the U.S.A.

Urmston is being critical of the actions of governmental leaders, treating soldiers and others as the "lesser man". I believe that Urmston would believe in equality among all citizens regardless of hierarchal rank. "To whom it may concern I'm writing of behalf of a brother twice burned. I know just a product of your mind," because of the leaders' decision to engage in war for their own secret purposes, covered-up and unseen by the public, soldiers pay the price.

-I'll get back to this later, my study hall just ended. haha

Bon Iver – Simple Man Lyrics 17 years ago
great song by Graham Nash, great cover done by Justin Vernon and Bon Iver.
one of my favorite songs.. i can relate very much to this song.
the wooden flute played by Justin really captures and drives the tone he delivers.

Dispatch – Gone Lyrics 18 years ago
you can see a lot of the influence that Zimbabwe had on Chetro's life.. it's about the huge difference between worlds: how one is supported by friendships and appreciates every aspect of life, while the other world can sit back and enjoy the things they take for granted so much.. look at the things that are "gone" in the more fortunate world. you see friendships as the two characters are introduced, there is the working man and the young boy.. the man is tired from working, his focus is lost upon the important things of life and more on making money.. common decency of the people in the more fortunate world is lost, as he passes the car turned over he forgets about it 3 seconds down the road, where has the common decency gone in the world? it has just gone... it all builds up till he reaches the crossroads, crossroads between the two worlds and it hits him "have u figured it out" well he has. he has figured out at the climax that in our more fortunate world we have forgotten all about the less fortunate people and we make the media rule our lives. we take so much for granted and never give a second thought about our lives.....
fragments are sweet. i totally just fragmented the whole time.. idk if u'll know wat i'm sayin, but this song is great and it speaks to me. DISPATCH ROCKS. haha
