I think this song is from the perspective of a Christian: He is saying Jesus gave us a blank check by giving us life, but he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. He's hoping he has more time to figure out what he should do with his life. He knows he wants to do something great (be number one; build his tower high), but he lacks direction. |

My favorite Ke$ha song. I appreciate her commenting on the fleeting nature of things within the construct of the uber-fickle pop package. Also I interpret the line about Britney Spears not as a "diss" but as a continuation of the self-analysis from the rest of the song with Britney Spears as a mirror of Ke$ha. Maybe I am over analyzing. |

One of the few Madonna songs that I actually love. I actually went out and read The Cement Garden because of the opening quote.
Anyway, the meaning I get out of it might be different than anyone else, but to me, it feels like someone (like myself, for instance) wants to know what it feels like for a girl, and all the things she mentions are what he imagines it is to be a girl. |

This song is so beautiful and moving. I can't help but get teary when I hear it. It makes me want to do something to take a stand against the war, rather than just saying it's bad. I don't know what I can do, but I heard there is an upcoming bill about putting more money into the war, so I'll definitely look that up online.
Serj is such an amazing musician and poet. I absolutely loved Cool Gardens, and I think it's about time he relased his own album. |
