| In light of biohazrd's comment, I would have to think they are using Roll Jordan Roll as kind of an ironic basis for a song about spiritual slavery instead of literal slavery. It's kind of an interesting effect | |

To me this song is just Claudio looking at the situation and asking himself if he can really go through with it. "Hell must know there have been worse things i've done." -Basically saying that in his short life this is not the worst thing he has done. He is almost justifying the acts ahead by almost belitteling them. "I'll hold out these hands, receive the sound. Approach these days, will we accept the things we must?" -Asking himself the ultimate question: Can he accept the fact that it has to be him that brings down the keywork and kills Wilhelm? He knows he can do it, he just doesn't know how he will react once he does. "The world will now learn of change to come...or no world..." -The world is either going to find out everything and adapt to the changes ahead or it will be destroyed. Plain and simple. It almost seems like this is his thought process before addressing everyone. (See No World For Tomorrow Lyrics" Just my interpretation though LONG LIVE COHEED AND CAMBRIA! (Can't wait to see what they do after this. The story is complete, but I read an interview with Claudio that said they were going to explore more of the Co&Ca universe and maybe write a prologue or preface to the story as we know it right now) -DarkSky48 |

I love how I am a "fucking idiot" for liking the cover of this song. (See above comment) Who cares if it's not the original, it's a cover. The point isn't to give the same performance the original artist did. Why would anyone want to hear a song that sounded EXACTLY like the Misfits but it's actually Alky? Eff that noise. Anyways, I think the song is much more effective as a "piano ballad" of sorts. I love the original to death, but the way this version is arranged just makes it haunting. Peace, love, and much respect all -DarkSky48 |

Beautiful song! I absolutely love it! The real reason I'm posting is to respond to liammacrae: I don't mind that you don't like the song. Having an opinion that doesn't match everyone else's is a nice change of pace, but I don't really like you're comment about the hooligan chant. I'm sure there ARE more geographicaly relevant chants, but the United chant really captures the tone of the song: "Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put the scousers on the top, put city in the middle and we'll burn the f***ing lot" I think they just used it because it helps demonstrate their point |

| I relate this song to me and my ex. we have kept in contact, and occasionally see each other. I spent the night there, and when i woke up, this song had just started. It made me feel so sad, and yet it seemed like it related to the situation so perfectly... For me, it almost seemed like the anthem for a person who was waiting for the other, saw them once for a night, and this was the song that he wrote for her... anyways, just my interpretation... Beautiful song | |

Yeah, sorry Spazz, but I think you're thinking of LSD, not LCD. lol, oh well. My favorite line in this entire song is "It stung like a violent wind that our memories depend on a faulty camera in our minds..." That line just kind of sums it all up for me. It's pretty much just saying that when we remember things, and especially people, we seem to remember them in a different way when they die than when they were alive. It just amazes me that Ben could sum it up in such a beautiful way. Now please excuse me while I go tend to my shrine of Ben Gibbard for being the most intelligent lyricist that I have heard in quite some time -DarkSky48 |

It is totally about a condition that a lot of people get when they put too much of themselves into a relationship called Co-Dependency. He just loves her so much that he is willing to put anything and everything into it for her, and yet, something keeps his efforts from making any difference. That something is her because she doesn't love him as much as he loves her. What ends up happening is he gets in a pattern of putting all of himself into a relationship, thus the "die for anyone, what have I become?" line. That's just my interpretation though. and although it is TOTALLY cliche, i really do like the accoustic version better than the full band version. It just caters to the lyrics so much better -DarkSky48 |

okay, first off, in answer to theuniversalcycle: he is being ironic in the fact that the person was talking in circles. as circles don't have points, neither does he and there is no point in brock listening. second: I think the major point that I MYSELF AND SO FAR ONLY ME ALONE get from this song is not to waste our lives here as there is, in all probability, no afterlife to look forward to. we should enjoy what we have here and not spend all of our time fearing that what we do may get us sent to hell. And third: in response to spence, that is not being a christian. i was raised catholic, so please don't question my knowledge of the subject, but from what I understand, doing what you want and then going "Whoops, please forgive me?" is not the christian way. plus, you shouldn't be doing things just to get yourself out of the possibility of hell. that isn't what it is about either. it's all about helping other people because that is what is right, and that's what god put you here for: to enjoy life and help others enjoy it as much as you. okay. i'm done with my rant. thanks for reading my bullshit. -DarkSky48 |

I don't know about any of you, but the line: "Here's the church open the people..." is a play on a childrens rhyme. It has some little hand motions and things with it, and originally goes: "Here's the church open the STEEPLE..." So yeah, just thought I would add that little tid-bit. Awesome awesome song. I bought the warped tour comp. just for this song. later all |
