| A great love song; it's saying "we may not be perfect, but we're perfect for each other, and that's enough". Great tune from a great, unfortunately under-appreciated, group. | |

I think the verdict is still out on stereogumby's supposition, although a very good find if it ends up being the case. Regardless, the song still has an overall feeling of frustration and disappointment with said 'Ada', who from the "talk about reasons" line we can infer is essentially speaking in circles, never actually making it to anything the protagonist actually wants to hear. Hence the line "leave it all up in the air," ad infinitum. The song seems to balance directly on those seven words, bringing further frustration and desperation to the surface. Overall, my favorite track on the album, one that is infused with so many layered emotions and themes that it's difficult to take it all in. |

I second mohawk1guy's opinion: I don't see that gender really matters so much, but I definitely feel that the overall crux of the song is those feelings the protagonist has as he/she watches someone they care about change in ways they're not entirely supportive of. Either way, what an amazing track, on an already amazing album. |
