| The Dangerous Summer – I Would Stay (corrected/full) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| It's about not having a grip on his mental state, depending on someone close to them too much and feeling like they're dragging that person down with them. Using them as a way to lift himself up again but only to realize that it wasn't right to use them in that way. | |
| Bon Iver – Skinny Love Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Come on skinny love just last the year Pour a little salt we were never here My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer A relationship that is fading, one he wants to last just a little longer, one that's worn out. But he sees that there is spilt blood, that it's foundation is crushed and bleeding. I tell my love to wreck it all Cut out all the ropes and let me fall My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Right in the moment this order's tall He's at the point where he wants her to end it, stop fighting to hold on. He's ready to just drop all of it right now. And I told you to be patient And I told you to be fine And I told you to be balanced And I told you to be kind And in the morning I'll be with you But it will be a different kind And I'll be holding all the tickets And you'll be owning all the fines And here in the insecurity behind the failure of the relationship. He's trying to establish that he tried his hardest and reminded her of what she was getting into. And in the end she is the person who did all the wrong and he's the one that has to pay for it. Come on skinny love, what happened here? Suckle on the hope in light brassieres My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Sullen load is full, so slow on the split But still, he doesn't understand how it went so downhill. He wishes and hopes there is any way to salveage it as a light hearted individual, so it drags on further than it should. Slow on the split. Split between the two. And I told you to be patient And I told you to be fine And I told you to be balanced And I told you to be kind And now all your love is wasted And then who the hell was I? And I'm breaking at the britches And at the end of all your lines And he is angry for her trying to put herself through the endeavor of loving someone when it wasn't worth it in the long run. And he feels remorse for the wasted energy on the relationship, he hurts from the quick connection and long painful break. Who will love you? Who will fight? Who will fall far behind? He feels like loving her is a battle, it's a tasak of getting past whatever problems she may have in being in a relationship. And Or perhaps its just a message to himself, who will love him and who will fight for his love? Who wont be able to keep up with him as a person? or vice versa. It's a very sullen love song, about the conflict her fights inside of his head over the downfall of it. He feels as if he warned her of the dangers of falling in love and she was naive and dove in, only to pay the consiquences of its failure and cause him pain in the thought of allowing it to happen. a |

I think it's actually: All I really want is you. What I really want to LOVE is you I keep hearing with you though. Who knows, this makes more sense though. |

| Tegan and Sara – Burn Your Life Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Burn Your Life Down" Look at that. Read it. Think. It means she's starting over. That's what happens with anything burns down. You clean up the mess and move on. Start over. It's NOT about a car accident, that's just a symbol of her memories with somebody she's lost. "Tell me that you know another way to get it done It's not me, or how I would be, but it's a different situation You lay awake in the night just staring at the ceiling above Pulling pieces of it out, it's such a waste of time" -She's trying to figure out what went wrong. What she could have done, how things fit together. When she knows that she's just wasting her time on something she shouldn't bother with. "Keep on fighting to remember that nothing is lost in the end when you burn your life down." -You know you need to go on after you end a relationship. Ending a relationship may make you feel like your alone, and that there's a chunk of you missing but you lived before that and you can after. "Get me to the door, out of bed or on to track, I'm not sure Starting over, it's a different situation You wake up in the night, and refuse to be afraid of it now unfolding pieces of it faster, don't you waste your time" -She relates it to all of us, as the message of everything. She's realizing how it's left her out of place and alone, and knows that she needs to get her life back together even though starting over is tough. Now she realizes how usuless it is to figure out went wrong. She knows it's time to move on. "You've been planning to remember this, so nothing will be lost in the end Then you burn your life down" -She relates this to you guys once again that, everyone thinks of the end when they enter a relationship. It's the first thing you do. So even though it doesn't seem like it, you can handle the end of it. And slowely start over with the emotional saftey net you made from day one. "I drive around the block and I'm not looking to my right i feel the glass against my cheek and I can't see you in the light I break my heart around this " There are times when she'll come back to a time when she always had them there, and realize how much she misses them. Even though she's starting over, it still breaks her heart to think of what once was. |

I think it's about being unique, and standing out. It's about someone learning to be themselves instead of the mold society puts on them. It's about self discovery kinda. |

| Daphne Loves Derby – Aware, Rust and Repair Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It's simple. A song about the ending of a failed relationship. One person, feeling broken and alone after it's ending, is trying to avoid the other at all costs to spare them the pain. And the other is moving on, already taking different path's out of the other persons life. Not looking back at the fact it hurts they're ex-companion harshly, but not aware either. The one who's struggling isn't suprised by the fact the other has moved on so fast, but at the fact the other person doesn't understand how much it hurts them. I know the experience first hand.. |

Well, it lays it's self out as a love song. That's exactly what it is. He's so in love with this girl that he never wants it to end. Sadly, I do't think craig owens is fit to sing this. His voice is too high for it, beautful lyrics though. |

| Just Surrender – I Can Barely Breathe Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Thissong is clearly about how a girl cheated on him. She wants forgivness and she tells him she didn't mean it but that isn't enough. The damage is done and nothin can fix it. The thought of it is killing him, he can't forget and forgive this time. It's just too hard. | |

| A Day to Remember – You Had Me at Hello Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It means that he's falling in love again, even though he swore he'd never trust another girl with his heart. But she's different, she changed the whole way he thinks about love. She sort of healed him in a way. He misses her to death when they aren't with each other and i think he's realizing exactly how fast he's falling. | |
