I saw this song as the story of a man who gets cheated on by his wife. And his view of the situation. "were going to these meetings but were not doing any meetings" I imagined the wife saying she was going to meetings but she was never doing any meeting, She was cheating. "hero of this story, don't need to be saved" He is the good guy, the hero. He's pushing all help away. |

I saw this song as the character is drunk in the beginning "made it up the stairs and made it through the doorway and waded through the door, tried to head in the general direction of the bathroom the truest room in the whole damn house" she see's a pickle jar and brings it home, it for some reason brings her comfort. Probably in the absurdity of it, something silly in her bad times. She tries to find comfort in it the next day and finds that it doesn't bring her any more contentment. It's really silly but it's just what I hear. hahaha. |
