I remember when I used to listen to this song all the time when I was absolutely in love with this guy who seemed interested in me enough but couldn't really commit to a serious relationship. He ended up leaving me for another girl. I realized then that I'd "given him love and affection" but he was never really with me. He was always going to leave me and I knew that but I went along with him anyway. We were never anything more than friends and it took me a whle to accept that. |

I love this song, it's one of my favorite Better Than Ezra. It perfectly describes how I feel when my fiance is being more annoying than usual. He becomes so tedious and bothersome (exactly like a cold that clogs my head) and I can't escape and I just need to grit my teeth and wait for it to pass. But at the end of the day, I can't live without him and he provides my life with a lot more light than I expected. I especially love the line "You're a song I can't get off my mind" because I know how it feels to have a song that just plays over and over and over in your head and you can't get it out! |
