this song is the definition of sexy...men and women in the roles as such, surrendering to each other--so hot! I think the term "Glory Box" is definitley a euphemism for that special part of the female anatomy. |

regardless of how people think Stephan is reacting to this woman, the song is ultimately about HIS experience, and HIS frustration. I think people are out of line to say whether his actions are right or wrong, people are all different and deal with things differently. He might be doing exactly what she needs by trying to help her get over her past and come out of her shell. I think the song is empowering and I hope that if something like that ever happened to me that I would have a friend like Stephan to help me recover and return to normal, and not just write me off as a lost cause or whatever. Rock on. This song kicks so much ass. |

This song could apply to many situations, I think in general, its about relationships, communication and being afraid to express yourself for fear that everything may fall apart, when in reality, it's already falling or fallen apart. The sadness of this song strikes me like a stab in the heart, it's beautiful, haunting and oh so human. Denial keeps us in a place that is bearable, it's when we look beyond that denial to see the truth that we likely find ourselves alone. Even through it all, I still see the song as incredibly sad, yet somehow optimistic, perhaps due to its reflective nature. One of my all time favorites, still manages to hit me where it counts every time, although I've heard it hundreds, maybe thousands of times. |

To me this song is about inner strength, and knowing you have control over your emotions and feelings, and if you believe that no one can hurt you unless you let them, it's one of the greatest feelings of strength and control out there. It's also about knowing who you are, and having a strong sense of self: you don't mind people staring, and you know they don't understand you, but that's ok, you don't need to be an attention-whore/star in your world, you don't need their approval, it's ok to be yourself, whatever that is. It's about trying to preserve your individuality in a world that encourages anything but. I almost get the sense that a specific person may be referred to when she sings, "and everyday that goes by, you look a little less like who you used to be" and "this is all too heavy" make me think she's referring to a specific person and situation, but really it could be referring to everyone in this world, and the situation of this world in general is what's "too heavy."
The excerpts from the poem are really haunting, but I think the gist goes along with the rest of the lyrics, that the risk of loving something such as a child also risks the grief that goes along with the potential of losing them, but the important thing is to love as much as you can, while you can. |

I agree with lilb0idon, I think the song's about a relationship that's not reciprocated. The person she sings of is not ready for a relationship...it's just not meant to be, his heart's not ready to open, likely because it's still broken by someone else. Later in the song, it almost sounds like she says "If this love's not meant to be" rather than "smile's not meant to be", but it's hard to say for certain. Walking the empty streets is a way she can help herself get over the idea of this relationship that's not going to happen and a step towards her independence. Although she still questions herself, just as she begins to make sense of it, she goes back and wonders if she was wrong, something that's very natural to do when you think back on your interpretation of a situations, and I think in the end she's still ultimately convinced herself that it just wasn't meant to be. |

I agree completely, it's about finding the strength within yourself to pick up and move on, and it's important to love yourself first..in your solitude, embrace. |

makes much more sense to say you don't wanna fall in love than that you would with someone doing shitty things to you. It's what we can keep telling ourselves, that we don't wanna fall in love, but whether love will prevail, only time can tell. |

this song hits so deep for me...it's about someone thinking of an ex-lover who is somewhere far away from them. They know in their mind that they don't want this person back, but their heart still misses this person, longs for them and it the memories and thoughts of this person causes them to be restless and sleepless. The lyrics are just haunting and amazing. |

for sure the song is about missing someone, dead or otherwise, someone who was integral to your life, with this person gone, you feel separate from the world, all you can do is think/dream/fantasize about your time with this person now that they're gone. |

this song's about devotion, pure and simple and plain: doing anything for the one you love, who matters more to you than anyone else. |

I agree with Zelane about this song being about losing someone you love, but have a slightly different interpretation of the meaning of the dice...I almost think it could be about the past with the person that was lost, to the time when they were actually together and she hadn't been lost yet. another explanation could be that the dice rolling is hypothetical/optimistic/wishful thinking...looking back on a situation and idealizing it to the point of, "I've lost you, but nothing would compare to you coming back to me, taking the chance and saying you love me" I dunno, maybe it's a stretch and maybe that interpretation stems from my own situation. |

how sad this song is...yet such a beautiful composition by tiesto and ethereal vocals. A memoir of an emotional and turbulent love affair, that somehow managed to bring a fondness and remembrance of heavenly aspects. |

to me this song's about a love affair that's one-sided or even unrequited love (being in love with a friend for example). someone who means so much to you, that being with them just feels better than anything else, you feel lost when they're gone and you'll take anything and everything they'll give you and won't push for anything more. a state of basically being submissive yet extremely addicted to that person. |

I think this song is so amazing, powerful and sad.. it's obvious what it's about, to me, it's about loving someone who doesn't (or who NO LONGER) reciprocates your love, it's about watching and waiting and missing and losing (or having lost) what you want(ed) more than anything, so much so that it makes it hard just to live and see the colors of life ("faint without you near"). "Down here" could refer to earth vs. heaven if a person had died, or if someone had "moved up" in society while the other was left behind. just my opinion, love the song though, it's got a great beat. |

this is a really great song, I love the beat. I think it's about falling in love, getting lost in everything, and then having a break down in communication and being unsure of what each other is really thinking, at which point the relationship becomes unremarkable ("you all look the same") and then he tries to get back with her ("and you call out") while she doesn't listen or chooses not to listen. The relatioship eventually comes to an end, although there is some liberation at the end when she sings "you'll always feel cold without me." love it. |
