This is how I've always taken it: He (I'm guessing Brian) has a female best friend who just amazes and inspires him, and he wants to love her so badly, but he can't fancy her because he's gay. He wants to be like her, and wants to love her, but he can't. Maybe she wants him to, and he's saying "I WANT TO say I do", but can't. Just throwing it out there aha x |

I love this song so much. I'm pretty new to Bloc Party; only really heard Flux and The Prayer, but I understand from everyone else that this is pretty different to their old stuff . . ? Well, whatever, I love it. I think, lyrically, it sums up just how most people feel every now and then. Shit, basically, for no particular reason. And it's catchy as hell : ) xx P.S I can't help but disagree with huddy. I think music right now is just exploding; new sounds, new instruments, everyone's experimenting and going nuts.
