I honestly don't know what she's saying after 'An equation heaven sent' but I don't think it rhymes with 'inject'. Anyway this is a lovely song, I was kind of expecting it to actually have some higher level scientific metaphors in it but they aren't there really. i think the point of the song is 'I'm so in love with my boyfriend, it's so magical a bit like science which is also kind of magical cos i don't know much about it'. And I don't mean that in a sneering nasty way, but she's obviously watched a couple of science documentaries then written a love song. |

such a brilliant song. it's so simple, literally the same four chords all the way through, but just amazing. the lyrics aren't really the focus but guessing it's alluding to a failed relationship and still having feelings for the other person, i'm guessing the 'it' could be picking up a box of clothes or something from an ex maybe. |

| this song is definitely hyperbole. i don't think it's quite to the point of depression, more the moment after the labour is over when she's so exhausted and can't even think about loving the child. she knows in the morning she will be happy and love this child but in the moment she's just glad that giving birth is over. i don't think it actually means she couldn't build a connection with her newborn baby for a prolonged amount of time. | |

it's definitely 'drop my task' not toast. seeing as toast does not rhyme with glass and is a bit silly - "oh no i have dropped my toast" - especially seeing as this is quite a beautiful and serious song she would not really be thinking about toast and dropping her task means losing concentration with what she's doing |

I love this song, Emmy's going to be big this year methinks. And jonny, the "matter-of-factness" I think is trying to show the shock of how you would sometimes feel in this situation. it's not that she doesn't care at all that this person is dead, but at the time i think it happens that people just can't deal with thinking about what just happened, so they do just focus on something else. The bit that gets me is all the imagery, like the bit 'filled with fingers and voices and teeth' - clearly this other person was completely destroyed. And the bit where the sky is "tinted with red" - that's got to be blood sprayed on the windscreen. i can just imagine it, there's this mangled corpse and emmy's just staring at the sky and listening to MIA. |
