Similarities Modest mouse/ Pixies Pixies: With your feet in the air and your head on the ground Try this trick and spin it, yeah Your head will collapse When there's nothing in it And you'll ask yourself (...) Except the little fish But they told me, he swears Trying to talk to me, to me, to me Modest mouse: With your teeth to your lips And your hair to the ground Well, you hear the fish and they're making this sound Saying, "We just want to go on walking around And feel what it's like to fall down" |

| This song is obviously one of the most easy to love by modest mouse. I've made a lot of people fall in love with mm with this song. Top 3 of my favourites by modest mouse. | |

| The ending instrumental part is amazing. It has that potential of creating such images in people's head. I can easily imagine an empty socialy drowned guy dressed with a tie and some clean clothes trying to climb up some endless dusty stairs, hopelessly. I love MM's instrumentals songs. | |

Well I think this song represents a permanent ''regretless'' person. I walk around with my head off - That person is light as a feather, psychologicly. And in the state of the big sky The ground holds on to my grandpa's I'm always walking back one pace I'm walking back, head off - No matter what happens to him, even the death of his family, he stands light with his light thoughts. He doesn't look at those obstacles, he just go another way, so he can still keep this clean conscience. And in the state of the loud feet The dirt stores much in my familiy I'm always walking that one way That dirt stores much in my family - State of the loud feet= the current life, the present. So even if people is dying (dying as any other type of obstacles) around him, he's still able to keep his walking style, the clean conscience one. I blew off my laundry And my clothes hold on to the dirt, see And in the state of the loud feet I've got a babys clean conscience I walk around with my shoes off And the ground holds on to my bad walk - I blew off my laundry = he ''destroyed'' everything that could make him heavier psycholgicly so he could have a pure clean conscience, as walking without shoes. And the ground holds on to my bad walk... well maybe he know that anyway he will die, but at least he lived like he wanted. Many people live like this, avoiding obstacles, I think this person is one of those. My opinion |
