Best metal vocalist EVER. Yes he was a dick, and the Pantera song It Makes Them Disappear is his arrogant revelation that he's not blind to where it gets him. I can relate. 7 yrs incarcerated and I can see Phil's lyrics as a soundtrack to my life. Many of you are remarking how similar this sounds to AIC. Well, down in a hole, about death, is a very recognizable AIC tune and its main verse is based on Am G and D in that order. This song's chorus is indeed Amaj G and D in that order. The song is nearly identical in those parts except for a different A and different harmonies. Im a musician and I caught this immediately, 1st time I heard the song. The song structure (A G D) is identical. Listen to chorus of both songs, play them on guitar, you'll see. |
