| I think this song is about the new sound of AFI. Decemberunderground is quite different from other albums. the first song (prelude 12/21) is about the new sound too: if you dont like it, you dont have to listen it, but always keep AFI in your heart. if you dont listen to it "kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep". so, since this is the second song of the album, this could be: "so you are still listening to this album? ok, love these scream, whats left of me. love them like I do." | |

this was the first song of afi that i heard and I thought: wow, they suck... then I heard a few other songs of them and i started to like them. they're one of my favorite bands now :) especially this song. its so awesome! tekst is really good, i dont understand it all though. (like almost every afi song) its about dying i think... |

for me this is about a place wich is beautiful, maybe even perfect. not because there are things we like, but because there is nothing we dont like. this place is perfect because we dont know much about it. however, the one who walks there (grant?) is happy sounds a bit strange i guess... when i hear this song, i think about someone playing sitting in the sunlight playing guitar. somewhere on the grass in the woods. |

i love this song, because you can explain the tekst in different ways and they're all right. here is mine: SoldYourSoul, you dont have to be a christian to write songs about jesus. "just give me your hands and ill let you feel the wounds they put in me." jesus says this: "Put your finger here and look at my hands! Put your hand into my side." (john 20:27) seems to me this is definitely about jesus. "if you keep killing me, how can i be absolving you sins into me" if you are a christian (which is am) you believe jesus died to put away our sins, but if you dont accept him or even hate him (keep killing me) he cant help you. 37mm could be even the lenght of the nails they put through his hands. i like your suicide explanation too. 37mm is a gun indeed, but its not really good to commit suicide with, because its quite big. |
