I have no idea how no one can love this song. It's so beautiful and I think it's really sexy. I think By the Way is a really underrated album. It's got a few songs on it that I'm not really all that fond of, and it's a little less consistent, but I am still in love with it. I also really like Dosed. Red Hot Chili Peppers are so innovative.

This is my favorite White Stripes song, mainly because it's about one of my favorite movies. Orson Welles is my idol. I saw Citizen Kane before I heard the song, and that gave it so much more impact for me, especially with the music video. |

Damn, I've definitely had one of those. Haha. Just like, this one time I woke up in some chick's house, I think she went to my school, idk, anyway this was after Prom, and there was definitely liquor, and in the morning I woke up in this room and I was UNDERNEATH a mattress that some other chick was sleeping on and I'm like *sniff* Wha' happened? Haha. That's one of the reasons I love Sublime, because they're songs are so hilariously relatable, and Bradley's voice is simply gorgeous. |

Two things:
1.) One of the lines is wrong. It's not "I've got to get it on with you." I think it's "I've got to get alive with you." Anyway, that's the way I heard it.
2.) This song is not "distastefully filthy" or at least I don't think so. I think that, taken in context, it's really touching. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that this is a "filthy" song at all. Dirty? Ok I'll give you that, but I don't think it's distasteful at all. Besides, there are a lot of Sublime songs where the content is, well, worse. But I still love them all the more for that. |

I will venture to say that this is my favorite song of all time. It really evokes a lot of emotions I had growing up. Not so much the lyrics, but just the melody and the sound of the guitar. And the way Robert Plant sings it is so, idk...touching.
I'll have to agree with what was said earlier about this being from the point of view of a friend that pretty much makes sense. It always sort of occured to me that this was written for a friend they lost or something, but I think you can get whatever you want out of it and it would still have impact. |

This is really high on my list of favorite Sublime songs. Skanking is fun. Gonna be doing a lot of that tomorrow night. :D I agree with the hangover definition. It makes sense because of the "skank the night away" thing and "But the time has come for us all to pay." I've definitely had days when getting out of bed is the last thing I want to do. Does anyone have any idea why O.J. is in here though? Maybe it's just one of those great random Bradley lyrics, but idk. For some reason I thought there was a specific reason. |
