| Ween – King Billy Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Quite clearly the best contradictory reggae song of our generation. I know my version (a combination of fattydg and savingup's contribs) isn't 100% correct, but there's one important line that makes the song for me: line one of verse 4, when our slightly confused rasta changes his mind about whether King Billy should invite anyone up. Also, words that are swallowed or implied should have some parenthesis. King Billy, why don't you invite them up? I got a word or two to tell them (It's) about this situation A terrible miscommunication It involves a child of mine Destined to side with the oppression King Billy, let me speak to they But a bad wire, burn the connection! A man, fix the problem It is the only solution King Billy, I see them birds in flight Take off in every direction I'm a thinking man, a feeling man I will not side with the oppression King Billy, (uh) don't you invite them up But aim them in the opposite direction A chance at love attraction A chance to heal the nation |
