Like many others on here, the first time I heard this I started crying. This song reminds me so much of my first love. I loved and cared about him so much, I would do anything for him. When he joined the army, he asked me to marry him. I was ready to give up my life and move with him to an army base and get married. I told him I would follow him to the ends of the earth, no matter where they stationed him, no matter how far from home it was. Sadly, we did not get married, but we do remain close friends. I still love him, and always will with all my heart. This song will always remind me of that and him. This song is so incredibly beautiful, I'm amazed I like it. I normally hate acoustic. |

KWahDB, No one's jealous that they're getting anywhere, they're just not interested in trophy scar's new music. They've changed a lot. After hospital music they sounded very different, not so much for goodnight alchemy, but DEFINITELY for alphabets. Brace yourself for bad luck because it's very different from what you're used to. I've heard a bunch of demos, and seen them perform a few live. It's not hospital music, but it's amazing in it's own way. |

in dissent- there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with being straightedge, and there's nothing pussy about it. The fucking dedication it takes, and passion those kids put into it is really incredible. They're not pussies at all, they have beliefs that they fucking stand for and defend even when people like you may put them down. That takes fucking balls to do. |

simple. This song is about ending a relationship, and breaking up with a girl. "The hunger dies because of the lies." The passion they once felt for each other is now gone due to the lying in the relationship. "I bet we believed nothing could change us." They were probably naive and thinking they'd always be together. "If I could give you just one night I would make it last two seconds." He basically wants nothing to do with her, and wants to get away as fast as possible. "You make me feel so alive but that same love won't let me survive. So come one, destroy me" she makes him feel great, but he knows it wont last forever, it's like a temporary high. It'll eventually ruin him. "I just finished chapter one of "it's not you, it's me."" This defines the song. He closed the relationship with the typical line, "it's not you, it's me" the chapter of that girl is done. |

This song is fucking incredible! I'm amazed no one else has commented it. I'm pretty sure this song is about how he's done with this girl. He's grown up and apart from her, and he's tired of doing drugs over her. However, he still loves her and wants her, but things are too hard... I could be wrong but this is my personal interpretation. |

I agree with yesterdaysties, that he feels like he's killing everyone around him (not in a literal sense) "it was the faulty foundation said the weeping eyes the architecture bends under pressure the architecture broke over lies" -he was weak to begin with says someone who cares about him. He broke under pressure and his lies "they said "just a trend" they said "just a phase" they were right now every person in this place will lose their fucking lives" -peple around him said he was just going through a trend or phase, he agrees. but in doing so he's destroyed those around him, it's ruined his relationships with them. "i am a burning building bringing everyone inside to the ground" -this line sums up the entire song. He is destroying himself, and those aound him. He's ruining himself and his relationships with others. "in the time it takes to make things right we'll make new memories this feeling will have passed i'll have said goodbye you'll have gone and went" in the time it takes to heal things he has done, it wont matter anymore because he'll have said goodbye and ended the relationship, and everyone will forget about him and his sins. "i'll turn my back on the only meaning in my past what destroys me will have saved my life we are gone" he has turned his back on the one thing in he has done thast really meant anything, even if it was bad. whatever he had done saved him, but ruined himself in the process and the relationship he held with others. |
