for me it is of little importance what this song IS REALLY ABOUT to the author, as with most writings. what is interesting is what it means to me and this song means so much and is so dead on for me at the moment. it is probably meant to be metaphorical but for me it's very literal - i met someone randomly over the internet a year or so ago and this summer we have gotten so close. talked all night, well my nights, every night, for weeks. 6,7,8...14 hours sometimes. He's in east coast america and i'm in sweden and the Atlantic really has been born for me. it wasn't of any importance to me before but gosh it is so present now. every night i wish it wasn't too far to row but i guess it is.. Yesterday he went on a 1 month trip and the atlantic was born all over again. The distance does seem farther than ever before now when we can't talk. Am listening to this song on repeat. Not very constructive i know. "i need you so much closer" makes me cry every time! just my take on this gorgeous song. |
