This song reminds me of this guy I sort of used to go with. He was a lot older than me and gorgeous, and IMO way out of my league. He was an alcoholic and a chain smoker too, and when it says "Under these lights you look beautiful" he used to call me beautiful but it sounds to me like he's drunk. And the fake tan part, i'm notorious for always being tanned. Tarted up bit reminds me of how when i'd meet him outside of work (I work in a place he's constantly at), he'd always comment on how different I looked/acted. Anyway he pretty much took advantage of me, but I loved him and wanted it to work that I'd go along with it anyway. |
