I think it's about how the person is a Quaker and gets in a fight. He doesn't want to fight back because he's a quaker, which are known for their peacefulness and lovingness, but eventually does fight back. Hence "ex-Quaker". I'm not really sure what the "cat without it's claws...etc..." means entirely, but i'm sure it has something to do with him not being a quaker anymore. |

The songs about how they were going to be signed to some major record label with some big bands (which slip my mind at the moment) but were dropped before they were even signed. The song basically says that they would have been rich. |
