| Animal Collective – Taste Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Am I really all the things that are outside of me? Would I complete myself without the things I like around? Does the music that I make play on my awkward face? Do you appreciate the subtleties of taste buds? My friend and me were having laughs In a living room filled with arts and crafts He said "I like their clothes and their charming ways, But what I really want is a simple place, With no fashion clothes 'cause you can't eat those" Only Ma'd pretend to like the clothes you showed to me, Something in my heart can tell me it's a weakness, And maybe you would have more luck playing those tasty games, But me, I called and called and never heard from her again. She's too good to share our favorite things, I'll keep an open mind if you let me in. Don't let your temper rise, don't get a bitter face. Try not to judge me on my kind of taste. And don't go changing clothes when they don't like yours. Am I really all the things that are outside of me? --- Merriweather Post Pavilion is a fantastic album. And this song is the best on the album in my opinion. Second place is Bluish and third is Summertime Clothes |

| Greg Weeks – Made Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
A silence a sway, A gesture a wild sashay, Can make your today, And then take it all away. They made us this way, For what they can never say, Sent us on our way, It's useless to make them pay. Holding ground.. "Just live for today" 'Least that's what they try and say. They say "Pay, pay, pay, and we'll take your pain away." Holding ground.. So much for today, So much for the days of May, So much is passe. Please just make it fade away. Holding ground, Holding ground, Holding ground, Holding ground.. Those were the lyrics he posted on his website. |

Wow you listened to this song and that's all you could think of? This song is the best by them. It was even better live |

| Elliott Smith – Waltz #2 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"I'm no good," he said. "I'm no good. Can't anyone understand I don't know what I'm doing?" Excerpt from the book Junky by William Burroughs Possible allusion, but I'm not saying it's for sure. |

| Animal Collective – Banshee Beat Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Confusions not a kidney stone in my brain but if were miscommunicating do we feel the same?" I love how he sings that line. "You forgot about the things that he could say like 'I dont think that I like you anymore' 'Well I found new feelings at the feeling store' and 'I cant find you at our kissing place' and 'im scared of those new pair of eyes you have' " Sounds like the person he speaks of losing feelings for someone because they changed. |

| Arby's + Station wagon = trail ride. | |
| Guillemots – Little Bear Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is beautiful. | |
| Sufjan Stevens – Borderline Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The saddest, and most beautiful song by Sufjan, by far. | |
| Sufjan Stevens – John Wayne Gacy, Jr. Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
One of the saddest from Sufjan, along with Borderline. This song is sung so beautifully. It's almost eerie, especially with the two subtle sighs at the very end of the song. The meaning is obvious. |

| Pernice Brothers – Baby In Two Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Maybe divorce. That's just a guess though, it fits the lyrics. Like how it shifts from "Holding onto something when you should just let go." to "Holding onto nothing when you should just let go." is saying something. "Cut the baby in two" as well, for obvious reasons. Just a guess though. |

| Chris Garneau – Relief Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"For some reason I think this song is about a drug problem, or a problem in general she had. Like, her "good old friend" is her addiction to drugs, and by seeing the sea come in, it was like her relapse." 1. Uh, Chris Garneau is kind of a guy xD. 2. Just no. You can have your opinion but this song just really doesn't seem like its about drugs. |

Arcade Fire meets Micah P. Hinson + a gospel church choir = this. Its good, but I'd personally like it without the background choir. I love his voice. |

| Chris Garneau – Saturday Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Definitely says "Dreams aren't what they used to be." Chris Garneau is so sad. |
|
| Beirut – Cliquot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I hear "I'll sing of the years you will spend getting sadder and older, oh love" Owen Pallett is amazing. The fact that his lover is a man doesn't change the song at all. Just because it says His and not Her doesn't change the meaning of the song. |

All kinds of things wrong with this. I'm sure Chris Garneau doesn't write his songs in chat speak. (your not ur) Heres the less-annoying lyric for this song: I saw the sea come in I saw your good old friend He walked right passed I'll never ask, I'll never ask again. I saw the sea come in I saw your good old friend He walked right passed I'll never ask, I'll never ask again. I love the way you dance We can work it all out Don't you miss your chance The pain will all grow out I heard your good old word I heard the things you said They shuffled in Ask me to sin, Ask me to sin in red. I hear your good old word and I also heard the things you said They shuffled in Auf wiedersehen, Auf wiedersehen, Goodnight. I love the way you dance We can work it all out Don't you miss your chance The pain will all grow out I didn't go to see the city I went to see it around you We can laugh in hell together The devil will find you too Nose to nose Eyes on the clouds This is what I said We never ever end Nose to nose Eyes on the clouds This is what I said We never ever end I saw the sea come in I saw your good old friend He walked right passed I'll never ask, I'll never ask again. If I made any mistakes make sure you point them out. This song is really good though, the lyrics pretty much explain the song. |

| Interpol – Evil Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The singer admitted on a radio interview that this songs not really about anything. Lines from it could be interpreted different ways but the song as a whole doesn't have much meaning. | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Paper Kitten Nightmare Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Echante-moi doesn't sound right, I think "et chante a moi" (as okayprettygood suggested) makes more sense. | |
