OK.. Now yes, obviously cough syrup can be a metaphor in this song but at the same time it could really be as simple as drug abuse. I see where people see a metaphor for life, its struggles, and working through them etc but at the same time it could be as simple as someone young abusing cough syrup. In many parts of western US many high school kids abuse cough syrup to get high. Using it as a drug to get away from things, regretting it, then feeling overwhelmed about doing it again and wishing he could see things this straight (often addicts feel bad after using again) and wanting the high to come down. "I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down" Then he keeps trying to restore things, friends, relationships and return things back to how they should be and fails, then abuses again. One more spoon of cough syrup now, whoa One more spoon of cough syrup now, whoa Or even about rehab "Run to the things 'they' said could restore me, restore life the way it should be.. But it never does so he relapses. |

Wow.. amazing.. I've never read the lyrics to this. I like the end talking about himself. The best is the end. and me I wanna thank you, but I wont, I'll just say. "Good Luck" I love how he's talkin to himself. What I get out of it. he lists his son. his dad and sean. askin sean how he's doin cuz it's been awhile. See in the start of song. its not that she wasn't attractive she was beatiful but its the way that she interacted she was aggressively passive to the point where she would of intimidated any myth that ever tried to catch her He is not discusted. if that what you think you missed his point of this song entirely. Wow. I've never heard this song. I'm a Huge Slug fan. He is Amazing. Fuck all the other so called RAP. it's Techno with words. Atmosphere is real.. This song is not about Specail K whoever said that. It's about Heroin. caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins(Shootin H) so fuck needles, fuck smoke, fuck lines that make the sinus choke ( Been There) fuck chasers and trails,( Chasin the Dragon) thats H, fuck raves and rails fuck hangovers, fuck hallucinations regurgitations, mandatory sentences This song is simple amazing.
