Avenged Sevenfold – Streets Lyrics 18 years ago
Matt old punk band was Sucessful Failure, they were punk because that's what Avenged grew up on and that song just carried over.

Really the song is pretty straight forward, meaning it is about two types of people. The ones who go out and ones that are taught why. The ones who go out are probably the poor kids, ones who are taught how. How to make it in the real world, how to make it on their own. As the others who are taught why, they are probably rich. because they are taught things, they get prepared for the "real" world by books and words.

Also they're telling that there's no reason to tell you how to live or why to live. That you should just go and do what you want, doesn't matter who or what you are. Just fucking live. "Cause the streets have opened my eyes to see." - that meaning being on the streets opened his eyes to see that you can't be taught something to see out it really is. That being on the streets teaches you all what you need to know, not something you can get from books. "What are the reasons why and how?" - no one really knows why they're taught why and how, they just are. And who ever wrote this [iunno if it was Matt or someone else] questioned why they are taught why and how.

"And don't you think it sounds stupid when someone’s treated
different cause they're not the same as me or you? "
That line really caught my eye, because its undeniable true. Because mostly people who are "different" like poor, rich, of different race or religion are treated like shit because they are not like "them". Its really god damn stupid.

[Again this is my opinion so what ever.]

I don't understand why you guys want them to not get out there and be "mainstream". Because they said they're going to the future, they're going to be huge. Why keep them from their dreams? They wanna be like their idols Motley Crue, and everyone knows who they are. They were huge in their time and Escape the Fate wants to be huge now. So let them be famous, "mainstream" whatever. Let them have fun and actually make music for the sake of making music.

Escape the Fate – The Day I Left The Womb Lyrics 18 years ago
Okay lets clear things up. Its 'tell her I can SING' get over it. Ronnie left because he got into herione and went to rehab from september to november. He's fine now :]

The song is about Ronnie and his brother growing up with out a mother and all he had was his dad. His dad worked his ass off to raise his boys, seeing that in the song he says 'your guts and callouses, you had kids to feed.' But because of his mom leaving them, their dad overworking Ronnie's brother got into drugs, so Ronnie told him to get away and get clean [Also seein that they're from Vegas; 'leave this awful town' Vegas is aweful]. Since I don't know if his mom is dead or not, when he brother gets away he could find their mom and tell her that Ronnie can sing. And also Ronnie wants his brother to get clean so he can raise his kids and not be like his mother.

The chorus is straight about his mom, how she left them. He's telling her not to worry he's fine, probably being sarcastic. Since the next like is 'you're too busy, to even find the time,' saying she doesn't even care. By chemicals he could mean drugs, so he's saying do your drugs and take what he says to her grave. Him saying 'the boys you left,' meaning she left them at a young age. 'are the men you didn't raise,' meaning that his dad raised them, not her and she should feel guilty.

But yeah that's what I think the song means, really I could be wrong but this is just from what I hear. But this is an amazing song, full of so much raw emotion. That's why I love Escape the Fate so much, they're raw and not afraid to put every bit of emotion behind every song. [and you guys use EMO so stereotypically. It really means emotion, actually using what you feel into your songs. And not sound like a fucking robot.]

Escape the Fate – Cellar Door Lyrics 18 years ago
I love the song, its really good. I just don't think its about a loved one committing suicide. Don't take it a wrong way or anything, I could be wrong and you guys have really good connections. But when i hear [admire the whore] I think of Ronnie's ex. Girlfriend Mandee Murder. How he said she's a slut and gave him the 'clap'.

And how it says [I lost control] its like he killed her for what he did to her. And the chorus is kinda like 'look what you did, now you have to wait.' Like how the wait is painfully long and it hurts. And how it was wrong of her to do that to him.

How Ronnie relates it all to art is, how he wrote the song, showing her pain and showing her off like the whore she really is.

I don't know, this is my interpretation of the song and my opinion.
