This song seems to be about a guy who loves a girl, but she either doesnt love him back, or doesnt even acknowledge the fact that hes there. When he sleeps, he dreams of her, and in his dreams she loves him, and he never wants to wake up from that. As for the sand and oceans thing, the way i see it is the moon is a romantic thing, and when two people look at the moon they hold eachother close? just like the tides, the moon pulls the oceans in and out, ie closer to the sand. |

The meaning of this song seems to be right out there. Girl flat out leaves, and leaves a note. She's going west to make things right with another guy, because she misses this other guy. but the other guy doesnt feel anything for her, he just wants her for a one night stand. But she doesnt realize that. As for our friend here, hes wondering why she left, and what he could have done or said to stop her from going. But shes doing something that is unforgivable, and when she comes back he wont be there. great song. sounds very typical.. lol |
