Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Bookworm Lyrics 18 years ago
this song is obvioulsy about a child who grew up unwanted and unloved by his mother. I think that when it says "I wasn't born I was just dropped into your arms" it might mean that the mom had a c-section(I know that is not the way you actuallysay it) which could have somehting to do with a part that comes later in the song "but you're talkin to me sayin i wish that I had died" which i belive means there was a complication and if she didnt do a c-section she would have died giving birth and since its the doctors choice i the moms life is in danger she would have preferred to have died. I dont understand the "I wanna come home on the f-train" part because it just doesnt seem to really have any connection to the song.

Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Skeleton Key Lyrics 18 years ago
I think the song is about a husband who kills his wife because shes having an affair because it says "And don't call me that. Don't claim you love me. Cause you know that ain't true". I think when he says "don't call me that" hes talking about a pet name she called him or something along those lines that showed her love from him. I also think shes his wife because it says "And she cooked me food" which is something that a wife would traditionally do. And about he cheaing on him or maybe just not loving him it says "She squirmed and turned. Like a skeleton key" and "She left her man and attended to me" i dont understand the skeleton key but "she suirmed and turned" could show that she had cheated and had been in a loveless marriage for so long that she was uncomfortable when she did things for or with her husband, the "she left her love and attended to me" might mean that he needed her at one point so she had to leave the man she really loved to go back to her husband and take care of him.

I think he killed her because the part where he says "I did a sick, sick thing to my love" which could mean he killed her or maybe he just had an affair to get back at her but i dont think so. He also says "And you're finally free To twist and turn" which I think is a refrence to it saying " she squirmed and turned" which could mean she was a very happy and care free girl and went places alot and danced but when she got married he stopped her from doing those things. so when he killed her she was finally free to move as freely as she wanted(or her spirit was). Then theres a part when he says "And I miss you less and less everyday this stream of whisky's helped to wash you away" which i think refrences to the song "A Sea Chanty of Sorts" which could be sung from the wife's lovers point of veiw because in that song it says "the children weep at their dead mothers feet her husbands drunk" which might mean that the husband got drunk and killed his wife because of the affair and then he kept drinking to forget about her.

There's another part that makes me think that he had an affair to try to get back at her but it didnt work so he just killed her. He says "I did a horrible thing to that girl I bread my misery and drowned it in her and she got me high and I hardly noticed there were tears in her eyes" which i think means he found a girl who got him "high" which could mean litterally or metaphorically and he had sex with her just to get back at his wife(I bread my misery and drowned it in her) but she really loved him and knew he was using her (and i hardly noticed there were tears in her eyes).

and the skeleton key part doesnt make sense to him untill the end when he says "And it's clear to see
you're nothing special you're a skeleton key" which means what it says, shes nothing speacial like a skeleton key which fits in any keyhole.

I dont think the husband is gay or he raped anyone. I think hes just saying that hes a drunk so he doesnt feel the pain of what he did or missing his wife anymore and that he had an affair with someone who loved him but knew he didnt love her back so he really messed her up.

I know this probably doesnt make much sense to anyone but myself.
