As for the ending, taken from an Interpol forum: "I do want to know what he says at the end...it's so low I don't understand but it does sound like one of those backwards lyrical thingies." ----------------------------------------- "The first time I heard the ending vocals I heard clearly "que lastima" which translates to "what a pity" from Spanish to English. Paul speaks fluent Spanish, so I knew I was right on. If you listen carefully, I think he says "Abbey (then something I have no clue)...te quiero, que lastima" which might be for his ex. Who knows. I might be wrong. Only he knows. Great song though. One of my favorites." |
