Bob Seger – Turn The Page Lyrics 18 years ago
Man, I love this song. But seriously! I couldn’t stop listening to it when I was traveling. Now I am no rock star and I am not touring but I spoke to a lot of travelers and almost everyone agrees that this song is the perfect soundtrack when you are far fom home. Sitting on a half wrecked bus that takes you from somewhere to somewhere else: ‘But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do. When you're ridin' sixteen hours and there's nothin' much to do. And you don't feel much like ridin',you just wish the trip was through’. You stop at no man’s land just longing for something to eat and drink just to realise that you are the only western-looking guy: ‘And you feel the eyes upon you as you're shakin' off the cold. You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode.’

Blind Guardian – The Bard's Song (In the Forest) Lyrics 18 years ago
I most definitely agree with Catawhompus. ‘No one should ask you for the name of the one who tells the story’ might say that those bards didn’t long for fame or glory. On the one hand they’d love to settle down at one place: ‘When hours have gone by I'll close my eyes. In a world far away we may meet again’ on the other hand they enjoy traveling aroung, being a stranger and entertaining people ‘Tomorrow will take it away. The fear of today it will be gone. Due to our magic songs’
If you love this song listen to the live version of it. The crowd sings almost the entire song. Absolutely incredible! Truly one of Germany’s finest.

Elton John – Tiny Dancer Lyrics 18 years ago
I met an american girl in Argentina during the last weeks of my worldtrip We spent some days together and it was she who brought me to this song. Two weeks later it was the last song I was listening to just moments before I jumped on the plane that took me back home, back to old life.
I love it ever since and almost always have tears in my eyes when listening to the opening paino part with the volume turned up.

Bruce Springsteen – Thunder Road Lyrics 18 years ago
I just love this song though I do not understand every sinlge image used for my english is not the best.

Anyways here is what I am dreaming of while listenting to it: I picture myself playing a night-time open air concert in front of 300.000. It’s the last song. The band already left so I am alone on stage. Dead silence. A stunned crowd not cheering throughout the lines at all.
Rapturous applause after I finished the last chord. I walk off the stage and into the night – without saying one word. Dissapear and never perform again.
